Wow the 2023 national sports collectors convention was bigger than ever in Chicago 2023. I was there on the first full day Thursday. It was packed with people, hot on the floor, and hard to get to many tables with the crowds. This is on Thursday which was usually a decent day with large crowds but not overwhelming crowds. Not this year!

Additional exhibit halls were open this year with massive space allowing many additional vendors. A massive separate breakers hall is also new this year. Plenty of wax box bargains were seen. Also, tons of selections of vintage and new cards. Sadly, there was hardly any hockey to be found at reasonable costs. Even the reliable Canadian hockey dealers I knew did not have much that I needed or at my price point.

Plan your time carefully as the weekend crowds will be worse.
