2025/26 Chicago Blackhawks NHL trades

• 07/01/2025 – C/RW Sam Lafferty (Traded to Chicago Blackhawks) for 2026 sixth round pick (Traded to Buffalo Sabres)
• Lafferty, 30, posted seven points (4G, 3A) in 60 games with the Sabres during the 2024-25 campaign. He added 89 hits last season, good for eighth among Buffalo skaters. He also finished tied for fifth on the team with a 50.6% faceoff win percentage (79-for-156), the third-highest faceoff win percentage of his career.

• 06/28/2025 – Future considerations (Traded to Chicago Blackhawks) for F Ilya Safonov (Traded to Vancouver Canucks)
• Safonov, 24, appeared in 51 games for Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in 2024.25, recording 22 points (7-15-22), 22 penalty minutes, and a +22 plus/minus rating. He also appeared in 13 postseason contests, registering five points (3-2-5), six penalty minutes, and a +2 plus/minus rating.

• 06/21/2025 – F Andre Burakovsky (Traded to Chicago Blackhawks) for F Joe Veleno (Traded to Seattle Kraken)
• The Chicago Blackhawks acquired Andre Burakovsky from the Seattle Kraken on Saturday in exchange for fellow forward Joe Veleno.

  Burakovsky, 30, had 10 goals and 27 assists in 79 games with Seattle last season. A Stanley Cup champion with Washington in 2018 and Colorado in 2022, he has 153 goals and 234 assists in 696 regular-season games over 11 NHL seasons.
